The hamlet of Roche Plate (Ilet de Roche Plate) is a mountain village in the Mafate cirque reachable only on foot, ringed by steep volcanic cliffs. It is a popular place to experience the island's mountain village life and for hiking.

Manapany-les-Bains lies on the wild south coast of Saint-Joseph in the south. Once a loading dock in the 19th century, it is now known for the natural seawater pools hewn into black basalt and its renowned surfing spot, while the island's endemic green gecko lives among the rocks of the sea cliffs.

Located in Grand Coude, near Saint-Joseph, Le Labyrinthe En-Champ-Thé is France's only tea-plantation garden. Run by the Guichard family since 2005, it features a plant maze woven through the tea bushes, alongside other crops such as geranium.

The Far Far de Bezaves farm in the highlands of Saint-Joseph invites visitors to tour the cultivation of a wide range of traditional Creole crops, showcasing the diverse face of farm produce on Réunion.

Located at the edge of the village of Grand Coude near Saint-Joseph, La Maison du Laurina is one of the few organically certified producers of Bourbon Pointu (Laurina) coffee on Réunion. Visitors can tour the field of some 2,000 coffee trees, see the old processing machinery and taste the coffee.

Located at Plaine des Grègues near Saint-Joseph, the Maison du Curcuma is a family business now in its fourth generation, producing local seasonings such as turmeric (curry) and arrowroot on the premises. Visitors can tour the production and processing and buy the products.
