The Angelmó fish market, selling fresh seafood and curanto, is its most authentic landmark. Ferries cross to Chiloé Island, nearby Puerto Varas offers Lake Llanquihue, and it is a ferry point into Patagonia. Harbour life meets fjord scenery.
