Dinant Citadel
The Citadel of Dinant, perched on a rocky cliff about 100 metres above the River Meuse, dates back to the 11th century. Destroyed by French troops in 1554 and rebuilt in the 19th century, it now offers panoramic views over the old town and the Meuse valley, reached by cable car or a 408-step climb, with a museum inside.
Castle & Fortress

Collégiale Notre-Dame de Dinant
The Collégiale Notre-Dame de Dinant is a 13th-century Gothic church on the banks of the Meuse, crowned by a distinctive onion-shaped bell tower — rebuilt in copper after the original collapsed during a flood in 1924. The bulbous spire, echoed by the cliff-top citadel across the river, has become the town's most photographed landmark. Inside, the treasury holds fine medieval metalwork and reliquaries from Dinant's famous brass-working tradition. Dinant, birthplace of Adolphe Sax, fills the surrounding lanes with cafés and music shops.
