The Old Town Hall of Ebeltoft stands on the core square of this millennia-old fishing village, a well-preserved half-timbered building from the 16th century with red walls, black beams and a street-facing gable — among Denmark's oldest town halls. Inside survive the former council chamber and a small torture room, telling the town's shift from Hanseatic trade to today's arty resort. With the winding cobbles and white wooden houses around it, it is the most period-flavoured frame of Ebeltoft, a must-pause on a slow old-town walk.

The Glasmuseet Ebeltoft is Northern Europe's only museum devoted to contemporary glass art, on the seafront of this arty fishing village, with collections and rotating shows of Danish and global glass sculpture, vessels and installations. Transparent galleries let light play with glass, and courtyard sculptures glint in the sun. The museum often hosts glassblowing demos and workshops where visitors watch artisans shape molten glass — turning Ebeltoft from old fishing port into a quiet avant-garde enclave.

The frigate Jylland is the world's largest surviving wooden warship, launched in 1860 and veteran of the 1864 Second Schleswig War, now moored at Ebeltoft as a living museum. Visitors board the gun deck, officers' cabins and rigging to feel 19th-century naval life where steam met sail. A restoration workshop beside it still maintains the hull by traditional methods. A physical specimen of Denmark's seafaring memory, it is a treasure for families and history lovers.
