Bimini Travel Guide

Hemingway's marlin isle — clear shallows, the SS Sapona wreck & the Atlantis-road legend

📍 Destination Overview

Bimini, the Bahamian island nearest Florida about 80km from Miami, inspired Hemingway's fishing and is called the marlin and tuna capital of the world. Its clear water suits snorkelling and diving, with the Bimini Road (perhaps sunken Atlantis) and the half-sunk SS Sapona wreck. Reef sharks and manatee appear inshore; life is slow, with seaglass hunting on Radio Beach.
