📍 Destination Overview
Kangerlussuaq, north of the Arctic Circle, is Greenland's only international airport, converted from a US air base and the island's main gateway. Though home to only a few hundred people, it opens the way to fiords and glaciers: helicopters or dog sleds reach the edge of the inland ice sheet, the world's second-largest. From September vivid auroras illumine the winter skies.
