Dubrovnik sits on the Adriatic coast at the southern tip of Croatia, a breathtakingly beautiful old town hailed as the Pearl of the Adriatic, with its old town listed as a World Heritage Site. Its most stunning icon is the complete medieval stone city wall encircling the entire old town, nearly two kilometres long and superbly preserved — walking a full circuit on the walls, on one side are layers upon layers of terracotta-red roofs and the marble-paved old town, on the other the boundless, deep-blue Adriatic Sea, the red and blue reflecting each other, so beautiful it makes your heart ache. Take the cable car up Mount Srđ to overlook the classic panorama of the red-roofed old town embraced by the azure sea. As the filming location for King's Landing in the hit series Game of Thrones, the old walls and fortresses add extra legend. The encircling sea walls, the terracotta roofs and the azure sea make Dubrovnik picture-perfect.
