📍 Destination Overview

Bcharre, a famed cedar-country highland town in northern Lebanon at about 1,500 metres, overlooks the World Heritage Qadisha (Holy) Valley. Birthplace of Khalil Gibran, author of The Prophet, it keeps his museum and former home. Uphill, the Cedars of God shelter some of the oldest cedar forest on earth, with trees around a thousand years old.
