Naran is a key resort town in the Kaghan Valley of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwestern Pakistan, sitting at about 2,500m and serving as the gateway to the legendary Saif-ul-Muluk and Lulusar lakes. Cool and green in summer, it is among Pakistan's most popular national holiday escapes. The Kunhar River races past, snow peaks ring the valley, and it is also the staging point toward Babusar Pass and northern routes.
