Introduction
Radio City Music Hall, located in Rockefeller Center in Midtown Manhattan, is one of the world's most famous theaters. Opened in 1932, it was designed by architect Edward Durell Stone with interior design by Donald Deskey. Renowned for its Art Deco style, the hall has over 6,000 seats, making it the largest indoor theater in the United States. It is home to the Rockettes dance company, and its annual Christmas Spectacular and spring production season attract countless audiences. The hall also hosts concerts, award ceremonies, film premieres, and other major events, having hosted the Grammy and Tony Awards. Designated a New York City landmark in 1978 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979, it is a New York cultural landmark and a model of Art Deco architecture.
