Introduction
Soldier Field is located on the lakefront of Lake Michigan on the Near South Side of Chicago and has been the home of the NFL Chicago Bears since 1971. The stadium was built in 1924, originally dedicated to soldiers who died in World War I, and underwent a major renovation in 2003 that preserved the Greek-style colonnade memorial exterior while fully modernizing the interior. It seats about 61,700 spectators and is one of the oldest NFL home venues. Soldier Field has hosted many classic sports events and major concerts, including performances by the Rolling Stones and Beyonce. Attending a Bears game is a classic way to experience Chicago professional football culture.
