Introduction
Oracle Park sits along the shore of McCovey Cove in San Francisco and has been the home of the MLB San Francisco Giants since 2000. Originally named Pacific Bell Park, it has gone through several naming changes and is now called Oracle Park. The ballpark seats about 42,000 spectators and is one of the few MLB parks built by the water, with right field directly bordering the bay. Home runs that land in the water are called Splash Hits and have become a signature spectacle. The brick exterior and classic streetlights blend into the San Francisco waterfront atmosphere, and the dining options are extensive, with Gilroy Garlic Fries as a fan favorite. Catching a Giants game is an excellent way to experience San Francisco sports culture.
