Introduction
Pebble Beach on the southern tip of the Monterey Peninsula in California is one of the world's most celebrated golf resorts, famed for the Pebble Beach Golf Links. Designed by Jack Neville and Douglas Grant in 1919 along the Pacific coast, several holes cling to cliffs above the surf, and the course is widely regarded as the most beautiful public golf course in the world. It has hosted six U.S. Opens and each February stages the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, drawing top PGA Tour professionals and celebrity amateurs. Beyond golf, the 17-Mile Drive winds through the resort, passing the Lone Cypress, a iconic California landmark, alongside seal colonies and seabirds.
