Introduction

Yavapai Point is located on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, at an elevation of about 2,134 meters, and is one of the most famous viewpoints on the South Rim. Named after the Yavapai Native American people, the point is adjacent to the Grand Canyon Visitor Center and offers views of the main canyon extending northwest, with the Bright Angel Trail winding to the canyon floor, Phantom Ranch, the North Rim, and the distant Colorado River visible. Next to the point is the Yavapai Geology Museum, designed by Mary Colter, presenting the geological formation history and rock layer interpretation of the Grand Canyon, making it the best place to understand the canyon's geological science. Beautiful at both sunrise and sunset, it is a must-visit for first-time Grand Canyon visitors.
