Introduction

Sunrise Point is located within Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah and is one of the best viewpoints in the park for watching sunrise. Bryce Canyon is not actually a canyon but a series of natural rock amphitheaters formed by rain and frost erosion, filled with thousands of red, orange, and white rock pillars called hoodoos. At an elevation of about 2,780 meters, the viewing platform overlooks the entire Bryce Canyon hoodoo assembly. The first rays of morning sun illuminate the tops of the hoodoos, with red and orange pillars glowing brilliantly in the dawn light, creating rich color layers. It is the preferred location for photographers to capture classic Bryce Canyon scenes, along with Sunset Point and Inspiration Point.
