Rainbow Falls is one of the most accessible and spectacular waterfalls on the Big Island of Hawaii, located near Hilo along the road to Waipio Valley. The waterfall plunges roughly 24 meters over a basalt cliff, and the mist it generates often catches the sunlight to form vivid rainbows, giving the falls their name.
