Introduction
The Harvard Art Museums are a world-class art institution of Harvard University, located on Quincy Street in Cambridge. They unite three legendary museums the Fogg Museum, the Busch-Reisinger Museum, and the Arthur M. Sackler Museum in a new building designed by Renzo Piano that reopened in 2014. The new building is known for its signature glass roof and gray wood louver facade, with natural light flowing through the galleries to create an ideal viewing environment. The collection of over 250,000 works spans global art from ancient to contemporary, covering European painting and sculpture, Asian art, Islamic art, and modern and contemporary art. It is particularly renowned for European Impressionist and Post-Impressionist holdings, with masterpieces including Van Gogh's self-portrait, Monet's water lilies, and Picasso's Cubist works.
