Introduction

Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park & Mortuary is a quiet, easy-to-overlook cemetery tucked into the busy Westwood neighborhood beside UCLA in Los Angeles. First established in the 1880s and formally named in 1926, it has become a pilgrimage site for film fans because so many Hollywood icons rest here, most famously Marilyn Monroe in crypt 24 of the Corridor of Memories. Also interred are Natalie Wood, Dean Martin, Farrah Fawcett, Ray Bradbury and Truman Capote, among others.
