Introduction

Founded by Magnum photographer Cornell Capa in 1974, the International Center of Photography (ICP) is one of the world's leading photography institutions, combining a museum and a school devoted to documentary, photojournalism, street and contemporary photography. Its collections and archives moved to Mana Contemporary in New Jersey in 2015, and in January 2020 ICP opened an integrated center at 84 Ludlow Street as the cultural anchor of Manhattan's Essex Crossing development. Major exhibitions such as Love Songs and We Are Here pair intimate personal narratives with global street culture.
