Banana Boat (Sanya)

Introduction

The banana boat is a common water activity in the sea sports zones around Sanya Bay and Dadonghai in Sanya, named after the inflatable boat shaped like a banana. Riders put on life jackets and sit astride the boat as it is towed by a speedboat at speed, with turns and bumps sending up spray and laughter, making it a lighthearted experience suited to groups. Sanya lies on a tropical coast with warm water and abundant sunshine, so water sports have a long season. Before taking part, confirm the operator's credentials and safety equipment, follow the instructor's guidance and wear the life gear as required.
