Introduction
The Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon Glass Bridge (Yuntiandu) spans the canyon in Cili, Zhangjiajie, Hunan, China. When opened in 2016 it set records as the world's longest and highest glass pedestrian bridge — about 430 m long, ~300 m above the floor. Its transparent tempered-glass deck lets you walk on air with a 360° view of the deep gorge, waterfalls and primeval forest; sea-of-clouds on clear days, mist on rainy ones — thrill and grandeur combined. With canyon walks, ziplines and water trails, it is the modern sensory version of Zhangjiajie's 'fantastic peaks and waters' and a magnet for the brave.
