Introduction

Raging Spirits (レイジングスピリッツ), known in Chinese as 忿怒双神, is the steel roller coaster in the Lost River Delta of Tokyo DisneySea. It opened on 21 July 2005 as the park's first new attraction since its 2001 debut, at a reported cost of 8 billion yen. Designed by Walt Disney Imagineering, built by Intamin and constructed by Sansei Technologies, its 600-metre track reaches 60 km/h over 1 minute 38 seconds and includes a single vertical loop — the only inversion anywhere in the Tokyo Disney Resort. The story places riders in a Central American excavation where two stone deities, one of fire and one of water, were never meant to face each other; when restorers turned them inward, the gods' fury twisted the ore-cart rails into a loop, with flames, water jets and burning stone steps along the way. A practical note matters here: the ride sits inside Tokyo DisneySea at Maihama in Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, not in central Tokyo, so treating it as a standalone city sight leads to a wasted trip. Riders must be between 117 and 195 cm tall; the ride is not advised for guests with high blood pressure, heart, spinal or neck conditions, motion sickness or pregnancy. Paid Disney Premier Access and a single-rider line are available.
