Introduction

Miyanosawa Shiroi Koibito Soccer Stadium is the dedicated training ground of J.League club Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, set across the road from Shiroi Koibito Park with stands for about 3,000 spectators. For most visitors its appeal is convenience: from Miyanosawa, terminus of the Tozai subway line, it is a seven-minute walk to the park's chocolate factory, European-style gardens and mechanical clock tower, and one more street crossing to watch a professional side train, occasionally with players close at hand. A Consadole Sapporo collection house beside the park displays club memorabilia. Park entry is free, with grounds open 9:00-19:00 and the factory tour 9:00-18:00; sweet-making workshops and some attractions charge separately. Watching training from the outer stands is free, but sessions follow the team's schedule and are neither daily nor all day. From late November to late February the park runs winter illuminations, the busiest season in Sapporo's western suburbs. Note that the site is in Miyanosawa, Nishi-ku, well outside the city centre, so fix the park and pitch on a map before bringing children.
