Emerald Bay
Introduction
Emerald Bay is a cove in Pattaya, Chonburi province, Thailand, named for the emerald-green water that shimmers under the sun, and is a quieter, family- and couple-friendly seaside spot away from the noise of Pattaya's Walking Street. The sand is soft, the water clear and calm for swimming, banana boats and parasailing, and the shore is lined with resorts, restaurants and seafood stalls. At dusk the sea turns gold and red beneath swaying palms, making it one of the finer places in Pattaya to watch the sunset. As an extension of East Pattaya, Emerald Bay is often paired with Jomtien Beach and the nearby Coral Island (Koh Larn) into a day of island and beach hopping.
