Introduction

LEGO House opened in Billund in 2017, run by the LEGO Foundation, with a building itself assembled from thousands of bricks. It splits the brand's core themes into four experience zones - red for social skills, green for cognitive, blue for creativity and yellow for emotional expression - each with extensive build-your-own stations. The Tree of Creativity in the centre stands 15.5 metres tall and uses about six million bricks, and is the most photographed feature in the building. Downstairs, the history collection runs from Ole Kirk Christiansen's wooden toys of the 1930s to sustainable materials, while the Masterpiece Gallery showcases fan-built epics. For adult fans the visit holds up just as well.
