Introduction
Lake Zurich is a long, narrow glacial lake, extending about 40 km southeast from the city—Zurich's watery leisure playground. At the city end, the lakeside (around Bürkliplatz) has green space, piers and paths, swans and ducks on the water; on clear days the distant Alps snow peaks reflect in the lake—lovely.
