Kokrobite Beach
Introduction
Kokrobite Beach lies on the Atlantic coast about 27-30 km west of Accra, the capital of Ghana. It was originally a traditional Ga fishing village and, from the 1970s, evolved into a coastal cultural settlement combining music and leisure. The beach has pale golden sand and clear, calm water, with palm and casuarina trees forming a natural canopy of shade along the shore. It is a favourite weekend destination for Akrans and visitors to relax, picnic, swim and enjoy the sea.
