📍 Destination Overview

Travnik, on the Lasva River in central Bosnia, was the seat of Ottoman viziers for some two centuries from the 15th to 19th centuries. Its iconic 16th-century Colorful Mosque, with vivid facade and Ottoman courtyard, sits among cobbled lanes, caravanserais and Turkish baths. It is also the birthplace of Nobel laureate Ivo Andric, whose Travnick Chronicle is set here.
