Kiruna Church is a 1912 wooden Gothic Revival church shaped like a Sami tent; it is being relocated as the mining town subsides.

Jukkasjärvi Church is the oldest wooden church in Swedish Lapland, a red timber building first raised around 1607 and expanded in 1726 beside the Torne River. It is Sweden's only surviving example of the block-pillar construction technique, in which horizontal logs are braced inside vertical pillars. The real draw is inside: a vivid triptych altarpiece by Bror Hjorth, added in the 1950s, blends Christian imagery with Sami traditions — Laestadius preaching, a reindeer returned, the midnight sun. A unique organ carved from birch and reindeer horn completes the picture. Nearby, the village is famous as the home of the ICEHOTEL, the world's first ice hotel, reborn every winter.

Sarek National Park is Europe's oldest national park, established in 1909 in the heart of Swedish Lapland. With no roads, trails or huts, it remains one of Europe's last true wildernesses—more than a hundred peaks rise above 2,000 meters, separated by glaciers, deep valleys and rushing rivers. Herds of wild reindeer roam the park, which forms part of the UNESCO-listed Laponian Area together with neighboring reserves. Sarek is demanding terrain for experienced trekkers and mountaineers, rewarding them with scenery untouched by man.
