Lund Cathedral was built around 1080–1145 and is among the most important and best-preserved Romanesque churches in Scandinavia, long the religious centre of the Nordic region. Its sandstone columns, crypt and the astronomical clock that chimes the time make it both a pilgrimage site and a living textbook of Swedish architectural history.

The Lund Botanical Garden is run by Lund University and dates back to the 1690s, among Sweden's oldest. Across about seven hectares of open grounds and a series of greenhouses it collects plants from the Mediterranean to the tropics. Both a research base and a city oasis, it is where citizens stroll, learn flowers and find calm.

Kulturen is an open-air cultural museum in Lund, founded in 1892 by Georg Karlin and among the world's oldest open-air museums. Dozens of relocated historic buildings line its lanes — from medieval to early-20th-century homes, workshops and schoolrooms you can step inside — a living classroom for Sweden's everyday history.
