Kochi Travel Guide

A southern Indian harbour in Kerala known for Chinese fishing nets, colonial relics and Kathakali dance.

📍 Destination Overview

Kochi, Kerala's largest port on the Malabar coast, is called the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. Cantilevered Chinese fishing nets, said to come from Zheng He's fleet, still shape the waterfront; St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and the 1558 Paradesi Synagogue layer colonial memory. Spice markets scent the air, while Kathakali dance and classical music enrich its character.
