No.1
Suytun Cenote
Cenote Suytun is among the Yucatán's most photogenic sinkholes, set in an underground cave. A shaft of light falls from a roof fissure onto a circular pool, with a stone walkway platform at its centre where visitors step into the beam—dreamlike. Stalactites and clear blue groundwater surround it; both an Instagram icon and a Maya sacred well.

No.2
Rio Lagartos
Rio Lagartos is a fishing village and biosphere reserve on Yucatán's north coast, its name meaning 'Crocodile River'. The mangrove lagoons host one of the largest gatherings of Caribbean flamingos, with thousands of pink birds feeding on the flats—spectacular; crocodiles, sea turtles and salt flats add to this birding and eco-photography haven.
