No.1
Playa Las Gatas
Playa Las Gatas is a calm beach on the south side of Zihuatanejo bay. Legend says a Purépecha chief had labourers pile a breakwater among the rocks, creating a sheltered natural pool and planting rows of coconut palms. Known for snorkelling and colourful fish among the reefs, it is reached by boat or on foot around the headland.
