The Natural Bridge glow worm cave lies in Springbrook National Park, an hour's drive into the Gold Coast hinterland, where a 30-metre waterfall punches through basalt to form a natural arch. Inside, thousands of Arachnocampa glow worm larvae hang luminous threads from the ceiling; after dark the rock face shimmers like an inverted night sky. Access is strictly at night and flash photography is banned. The path is slippery with spray, so wear grippy shoes and combine the visit with a dusk drive along the scenic rim.

Warner Bros. Movie World, opened in 1991 at Oxenford north of the Gold Coast, is the only Hollywood-themed park in the Southern Hemisphere.
