Mole National Park is Ghana's largest and most prestigious wildlife reserve, covering about 4,577 square kilometres in the country's Northern Region. It is one of the few parks in West Africa where you can do walking safaris, getting close to elephant, buffalo, kob, warthog and many birds with an armed ranger by your side. The resident elephant population is famed for being calm and non-aggressive, and elephants sometimes even visit the park headquarters and lodge, making Mole the heart of Ghanaian wildlife viewing.
