📍 Destination Overview
Gangtey is a small village in Bhutan's Phobjikha Valley at about 2,900m, one of the kingdom's most serene natural destinations. The 17th-century Nyingma monastery's golden roof overlooks the valley, a wintering ground of rare black-necked cranes from Tibet. Unspoiled and pole-free, its trails cross pines and wetland in deep calm.
