Introduction
Fort Edmonton Park is Canada's largest living-history museum, laid out along the North Saskatchewan River to recreate the city's growth from a 19th-century fur-trade fort to early-20th-century streets. The park is chronological: a log fort, an 1885 street, a 1920s avenue and later blocks, peopled by costumed 'residents' demonstrating old ways, linked by antique streetcars, a steam train and a Ferris wheel.
