Vuntut National Park is located in northern Yukon, established in 1995 as part of the Vuntut Gwitchin First Nations land agreement. The park is located approximately 50 km by air or 190 km by river north of Old Crow, protecting the Old Crow Flats wetland—an internationally important wetland and habitat for numerous migratory birds and caribou. There are no roads, established trails, landing strips, or any facilities in the park; it is a near-pristine polar wilderness requiring visitors to be self-sufficient and capable of independent travel.
