Introduction

The Rivera del Pacífico is a landmark resort complex of Mazatlán, in the state of Sinaloa, the emblem of its 1950s heyday when it hosted Mexican presidents and Hollywood stars. Its signature 'Coppelia' bar, with a mosaic fountain of Greek-goddess figures, is famous; today the building serves as a cultural and events space, still the best footnote to Mazatlán's golden age.
