Pacific Aviation Museum

Introduction

The Pacific Aviation Museum is located within Pearl Harbor on Oahu, Hawaii, and is one of the most important World War II historical sites in the United States. Housed in two historic hangars on Ford Island that survived the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941, the buildings themselves are witnesses to history. The museum displays a large collection of rare historic aircraft, including a Japanese Zero fighter, a B-17 Flying Fortress, and Stearman biplanes, and uses multimedia exhibits, flight simulators, and interactive displays to vividly recreate the history of the Pacific War. Visitors can also tour the nearby USS Arizona Memorial and USS Missouri to form a complete Pearl Harbor historical experience.
