Introduction
Mandalay Bay is a large luxury resort at the south end of the Las Vegas Strip, known for its Southeast Asian tropical style and comprehensive entertainment facilities. The hotel has over 3,200 rooms and suites, 11 specialty restaurants, and a large casino, making it one of the largest resorts in Las Vegas. The most famous feature is the giant aquarium connected to the Shark Reef Aquarium, housing sharks, rays, and crocodiles, one of the few family-friendly attractions in Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay also features an 11-acre artificial beach pool area with a wave simulator and lazy river, and hosts Mandalay Bay Beach pool parties in summer. The hotel is connected to Luxor and Excalibur by a tram, serving as the core resort hub at the south end of the Strip.
