The campus weaves together relocated historic buildings ranging from a Southern Paiute archaeological site to a fully furnished 1950s atomic-test house, tracing Las Vegas evolution from Mormon frontier outpost and railroad water stop, through Hoover Dam construction camp, into a casino capital and atomic-age metropolis.
