Hillarys Boat Harbour
Introduction
Hillarys Boat Harbour, in the beachside suburb of Hillarys north-west of Perth, is one of Western Australia's most popular waterfront leisure and tourism destinations, set along the striking 'Sunset Coast'. Centred on a large recreational marina, the harbour is ringed by seafood restaurants, cafes, bars and boutique shops along Sorrento Quay, where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood, coffee and ice cream with dazzling ocean views. AQWA, the Aquarium of Western Australia, sits within the harbour, featuring one of the largest living coral-reef exhibits, an underwater tunnel and a touch pool among sharks, stingrays and turtles; there is also a yacht club, an ocean swimmer's cove and mini golf.
