Introduction

Bronte Beach is an eastern-suburbs Sydney beach between Bondi and Coogee and is the natural midpoint of the celebrated Bondi to Coogee coastal walk. The beach is roughly 250 metres long and faces due east, with a strong surf that surfers love, while a large rock wall at the northern end forms a sheltered calm channel. Combined with the heritage Bronte Baths ocean pool - a historic saltwater lap pool set into the cliffs - and the natural 'Bogey Hole' rock pool, there is safe swimming for everyone, backed by a pretty park with barbecues and picnic tables.
