The Rocks Discovery Museum
Introduction
The Rocks Discovery Museum is housed in a beautifully restored 1850s sandstone warehouse on Kendall Lane in Sydney's historic Rocks district and is free to the public. It tells the story of The Rocks from the time of the Gadigal Aboriginal people some 50,000 years ago - through indigenous life, the convict era and 19th-century streets to the community today - with objects recovered from local digs and immersive exhibits. Visitors can even get the chance to hold pieces of history in their hands.
