Wentworth Park is an inner-city green space in Sydney, set between Ultimo and Glebe on the edge of Blackwattle Bay and named after explorer and public figure William Charles Wentworth. Greyhound racing arrived in 1932 and the park became a major racecourse from 1939, with a grandstand built in 1985 marking its peak years.
