Olveston Historic Home is an Edwardian mansion in Dunedin built for merchant David Theomin in 1906 and gifted to the city in 1936 complete with its contents. More than 2,600 original objects survive — antique furniture, Japanese lacquerware and master paintings — almost untouched; entry is by guided tour, the finest window onto early-20th-century Dunedin wealth.
