The Avenue of the Baobabs lies on National Route 8 about 17 km north of the west-coast city of Morondava in western Madagascar. It is a stretch of public dirt road lined with dozens of giant baobab trees (Adansonia za) up to about 30 metres tall, celebrated as one of the world's most spectacular baobab landscapes.
