Lobo Area

Introduction

The Lobo area is located in the northern part of Serengeti National Park, a scenic region characterized by rolling hills and rich vegetation. Unlike the vast southern short-grass plains, this area features undulating terrain with scattered granite boulders creating unique landscapes. Lobo has year-round water sources, so even during the dry season it concentrates abundant wildlife including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and various antelope species. It is also a crucial corridor for the great migration heading north to Kenyas Mara Reserve, with spectacular scenes of wildebeest herds moving northward in July and August. The Lobo area is relatively remote with lower visitor density, preserving a more pristine wilderness atmosphere, making it ideal for travelers seeking tranquil safari experiences and photography enthusiasts.
