Naabi Hill

Introduction

Naabi Hill is the iconic landmark at the southern entrance of Serengeti National Park, the first stop for visitors entering Serengeti from the Ngorongoro direction. This granite hill stands at the edge of the vast grassland, with the official Serengeti National Park entrance gate and registration office at its summit. From Naabi Hill, visitors can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the southern Serengeti savanna — endless short-grass plains extending to the horizon, wildebeest and zebra herds scattered across, and the distant skyline meeting the blue sky in grand fashion. This is also an important stage for the great migration, with hundreds of thousands of wildebeest calving here from January to March, making it one of the best spots to view the southern migration. Naabi Hill is not only a geographic gateway but also the spiritual starting point of a Serengeti wilderness journey.
